i was eating chips and i swallowed it down with juice after it was all chewed up and i felt like it got stuck but I'm a hypochondriac and i heard you can get food stuff when you have acid reflux and will have to rush to emergency room and get and endoscopy to get it pushed down to your stomacher now I'm really scared cause my chest hurts but i do smoke and smoked alto today so not sure if that's y my chest is hurting please help. should i go hospital what will they do to see if there is anything?

First, calm down, and take a deep breath. It may be psychosomatic. Don't think much about it.

If it still hurts after a while, to the point that you *think* you can't breathe, call for help.

if drinking fluids and relaxing didn't help you should go to the emergency room. It could be stuck or you might actually be having chest pain/pressure related to a heart attack. Better to go than to be sorry is my belief...

if its heart burn take an anti-acid or drink some milk. if you feel like you can't breathe then that's when you go to the hospital.

I have pretty serious acid reflux because the valve at the top of my stomach doesn't work like it is supposed to. I have never heard any of what you said so I wouldn't worry about that. An endoscopy is used to look at your esophagus or inside your stomach to look at damage or see if there's an ulcer. Sometimes if I swallow too much food at once it can seem to get stuck, drink some water slowly and give it time, if you are really worried though go to the ER, they would probably just give you a chest x-ray and make sure everything is okay.
