Assuming you mean iron deficiency anemia (which is the most common) then getting more iron in your diet is the natural way to do it.Leafy greens, dark coloured vegetables, and red meat are your best sources. It is not possible to rush nature however, your body takes the time it takes to incorporate the iron, store it in your marrow, and manufacture new red blood cells.

The first and most important thing if you are anemic is to discuss with your doctor as far as how much Iron you will need... some people need 20-30 mg per day to recover, but some people may need over 300 mg daily to recover. A simple blood test will say how much you'll need for how long.Anemia is literally Iron deficiency, so the degree of that deficiency will determine your treatment. But regardless of the dosage the doctor recommends, it's also good to take a good dose of B-12 (1-5 mg, which is 1,000-5,000 mcg) daily. B-12 is a water-soluble vitamin, so you can take higher doses like that without a problem, but B-12 specifically helps your body to process and utilize Iron more efficiently so your body can catch up a little easier. Good luck!

Ferrous Sulphate. I am a chronic anemic and taking tablets don't absorb for me...eating extra vegies never does it for me either. I started the Ferrous Sulphate liquid and my levels went from 7 (taking tablets) to 20..!!!(should be around 12 for my age to start with!)You can't get any more natural than the pure iron in a liquid!

I am prone to anemia and whenever my blood levels are low I start drinking two tablespoons a day of liquid chlorophyll. I was so anemic when I was pregnant with my son that they wanted to give me a blood transfusion. I talked them into giving me a short amount of time to turn it around myself and started taking the chlorophyll. I got my iron count up so high so fast they were amazed. They said they had never seen that happen before. So good luck!

Spirulina is great for getting iron levels up. Liquid iron supplements work well too. You definitely want to confirm if it is iron or B12 deficiency. It wouldn't hurt to take some B vitamins for a while aswell. A good quality B complex would be good. You can get spirulina and a good B complex at the health food store.
