If a man is tempermental, causes him to take his bad moods out on his wife, shakes her, spits on her, etc, but no hitting? Can it be solved with anger management therapy?
When a man goes that far, by shaking his wife, spitting on her, even if he's not hitting her, that is still VERY BAD. Yes, he needs anger management and I'm sure the program will work, but NO women should have to endur that.
Anger management will only work if he wants to manage his anger. If he has never mentioned getting help,or wanting to change his behavior, leave NOW, it won't get any better. Take care and be well.
As an ex counsellor i have put individuals through anger management courses i can say that it will only help those who are prepared to accept their behaviour is wrong. What he needs to do is take responsibility for his anger and not use it to hurt others which is what he is doing, anger management will teach him how to see this and other things, but it has to come from him. LUCK
Divorce would be a wise move! J/K Displacement is a defense mechanism, maybe there's something else going on in his life that is really getting to him. Therapy would be a good decision to get to the root of the problem.
I believe you can.Got to make a decision to seek medical help. I do not know if reading up articles on this will help. But there is a blog on anger management which might help you.
