"Other possible causes of asthma in vulnerable individuals include allergic reactions to dietary substances like wheat, dairy products, chocolate, nuts, preservatives and other chemical food and beverage additives."
I can vouch for this. I had severe asthma when I was young. I stopped having dairy, and the asthma went away. Its been 16 years since.
I don't know of anything at home, but you may want to order this for your next discomfort: http://www.nativeremedies.com/asthma-natural-treatment-biovent.html
You may want to consider weight loss. Eat right, do excessive, engage in spirituality, take a substantial Miltie-vitamin, consider a fast for a couple days or week to get you started - here's what I generally recommend: (juice fasts or lemon/Stevie/cayenne/water are usually good to flush out anything that is flooding your system.)
If your weight is ONLY in your chest, which for some odd reason I doubt, and if weight loss doesn't help, consider reduction by surgery, but take precautions, and you may want to prevent bacterial infection prior and after wards with: grapefruit seed extract, cayenne pepper to stimulate circulation and aid healing, Olive Leaf Extract.
