I was just wondering if anyone knew whether sciatica could be caused by a poorly-done spinal tap, as the needle goes right through the area of the sciatic nerve. I've had trouble with my back off and on since I had the proceedure in August. Every time I do heavy activity, it flares up.

That is a real possibility. I would suggest that you discuss it with your doctor. I feel your pain.
