Exclamation birth control anxiety and sinusitis - 12-09-2012, 07:16 PM

Hi all,

Bit of background info, until 2 years ago I was on microgynon with no problems (for 10 years). Following an unplanned pregnancy I had the implanon implant put in an suffered terribly with constant bleeding and anxiety / panic attacks. The doctor advised me to keep it in for a while longer and take the pill with it to ease bleeding. When it came to each 7 day break I continued to get the panic attacks and anxiety so I was then advised to take the pill constantly. This did not work so after the 1st 12 months I has the implant out and went back onto the pill on ita own. Again when reaching my 7 day break I had anxiety constantly and panic attacks and also cold symptoms and sinus problems. I have just changed to a different pill (cilest) as advised by my doctor and it is making me so ill, nausea, sinus problems and anxiety. I dont know what to do any more. Can anyone offer any advise or has anyone experienced anything similar?

i'm not sure about this but i just went to the clinic and got switched back onto my old birth control today in hopes that my anxiety will go away. about six or seven months ago i stopped taking yasmin because i just didn't feel like dealing with having to rememeber to take a pill everyday....(lazy i know). then at the beginning of april i got what we thought was a sinus infection because i was getting mssive headaches and i took sudafed for a whole week and it always took the headaches away so therefore we assumed it was a sinus infection. anyways i missed a whole week of school and was scared out of my mind at what was happening and thought maybe i should get back on birthcontrol why i don't know. when i went in they switched me off of the yasmin and onto levora so it would be cheaper.

I think the pill that your doctor gave you is not suited to you. If I were you go back to your doctor and ask for opinion since you have signs that is quite threatening for me and not so normal as it can affect your body in not so good way. I'm sure your doctor will advise something to you and give you proper care.
