Default Blood clotting diseases or disorders? - 07-03-2009, 12:43 PM

My little brother, 15, went to the doctor a week ago because of stomach pains and blood in his stool. And for some other reasons. Anyways. They gave him different tests and took some blood. One of the blood test came back abnormal, so yesterday they made him go back to the hospital and take the test again, but we just got a phone call saying that the test came back abnormal again. The blood test was stating that his blood isn't clotting enough or something. So in a couple days he's suppose to go to a blood specialist.Anyways, my question is, what diseases or disorders could involve the blood not clotting. I know Hemophilia is one of them, but I really don't think that applies to him. So is there any others? Specific descriptions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
