I have recently been diagnosed with IBD (Irritable Bowel Disorder). I would like to know any tips and suggestions on how to eat, or any information about this disorder. Any help is appreciated. If you have any diet plans (tips) i would like to know. Thanks .

You might find these sites helpful. Also know as IBS so if you google for info check under that as well. Stress is a huge factor as well in IBS/IBD so try and reduce it if you can. There are food triggers that you will come to recognize as well. You really need to know yourself and follow the good sense eating that is mostly recommended. Good luck.

I had the same problem for years and found out I can't eat a lot of wheat or dairy. Make a journal of what you eat and note when it is triggered. May be that will help.

In my personal opinion (I'm no doctor, but am a nutritionist), IBD is a bunch of crap. I was diagnosed with it by 4 doctors over the course of a year, when in the end, I have gluten intolerance. I would suggest, before you accept this"trendy", catch-all diagnosis doctor's are liking to use these days, try looking at your diet first. Write stuff down and look for patterns pertaining to what you eat and when. Like someone else said, the culprit really could be an intolerance to wheat, dairy, soy or something else. I believe food intolerances is the culprit behind many digestive disorders. If you do determine none of these foods are making you feel any worse, then exercise and a diet filled with lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein is the best you can do.
