I now realize just how important testing for HPV is! I was diagnosed as having rectal cancer from HPV.

no, but i had precancerous cells in my cervix because of HPV. it is pretty important. a lot more people have it then they realize, i think. there is a new commercial on tv about it, and getting tested for it and everything.crazy.

HPV is linked with squamous cancers. Most comonly of the cervix, then the penis, then the rectum. With HPV so prevalent in the US - some say one in four by age 25 - the word really neds to get out. Stay safe. Strive for prevention.

I was diagnosed with HPV in 92 while pregnant. after a healthy pregnancy and birth, 5 mos later I had cryosurgery never another problem, I didn't know about a link to colon cancer, thanks for opening my eyes. I am calling my Dr. Monday. God bless you caj

HPV have different subtype, usually cause some type wart, especially genital wart. but cancer on vagina or cervix related to different subtype of HPV.if some one have genital Wart or anal wart they should be check every year, sometimes asymptomatic because cells slowly torn from normal to dyspepsia low, high and pre-cancer it's take about 10 year. if someone sexually active they should go under pap test if anal also they can check for any abnormal cell at least every 2 year.to make sure if someone have , before it's gets to cancer to be removed. i am MD
