Default Can you get carpal tunnel on your palm as well as wrist? - 01-14-2009, 11:28 AM

I have some odd bumps that remind me of when I got carpal tunnel years ago. Only they are on my palm this time instead of wrist. I drive a bus for a living so my hands do have repetitive movement, also I broke my pinky a few months ago on that same hand and haven't really gained full movement back yet. The bumps annoy me but aren't painfull. Anyone know what this could be?

It could be carpal tunnel. The muscles that are affected by carpal tunnel extend from the wrist into almost the middle of the hand. But the bumps you mention sound like cysts of some kind. Go back to your doctor and get an x-ray taken to confirm your suspicions.
