eat what you like when you like the cholesterol myth is currently being disproved most cholesterol is produced in the liver not by the food we eat and the drug companies are only interested in selling stat ins which damage the liver, latest research shows a link to calcium levels causing high cholesterol AND the plaques that fur the arteries and cause heart problems not the cholesterol levels themselves

I just finished taking a nutrition class at my school, and the professor was saying that people who are vegetarian have a much lower chance of developing a number of diseases. Also limiting red meat is healthful. It is also good to try to increase the healthy fat foods (fish, olive oil, sunflower oil, avocado) in your meals and limit other fats. Also, my mom swears by fish oil supplements. She said her cholesterol has gone down since taking it. Other than that just try to load up on fruits and veggies!!

you shouldn't eat anything fried or with a lot of artificial sugar, Cheerios (the original kind) are great for lowering bad cholesterol!

Cholesterol is essential for life and is a protective nutrient which rises due to toxins and imbalances in the body. One common reason is a thyroid imbalance. This video is excellent and is backed up by clinical research. One study - when cholesterol goes below 220, cancer risk goes up...by the time you get down to 160 your risk of cancer is astronomically higher. Another study - the higher your cholesterol the longer you are most likely to live and the healthier you are likely to be. Makes sense, pharmaceutical companies can't survive if people are healthy Lil >>>HTTP://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KEhAcxhYEaQ
"Unlike cholesterol which is required for life, the presence of homo cysteine is an indication that there's a problem. The lower your homo cysteine level, the lower your risk of developing heart disease. Your homo cysteine level, NOT your cholesterol level, is the one you want to watch, and you want to watch it carefully, especially if other factors put you at higher risk of heart disease, such as incidence of heart attacks among your relatives, smoking, or previous detection of cardiovascular problems.
If your homo cysteine level is higher than 12, you need to act quickly to lower it. You're in danger!

Cholesterol is one of the most essential elements in the survival of the human body.
When the body begins to make more cholesterol, it has a reason to do that. It is certainly not to block the arteries of the heart, because we measure the level of cholesterol in the body in the blood we take out of the veins of the body, and nowhere in the history of medicine is there recorded one single case of cholesterol ever having blocked the veins of the body.
So, it is not the stickiness of the cholesterol that is the problem, which the drug industry is drumming it into the minds of people - "cholesterol is sticky, reduce it - otherwise you will have blockage of your arteries", which is all nonsense.
Cholesterol is actually saving the lives of people, because cholesterol is a bandage, a waterproof bandage that the body has designed. When the blood becomes concentrated and acidic, and is being rushed through constricted arteries or capillaries, in dehydration, then abrasions and tears are produced in the arterial system, naturally, in the capillaries of the heart first.
Now if cholesterol wan?t there to cover up the tear and abrasions, blood would get under the membrane and peel it off and that person would be dead instantly. Cholesterol is actually an interim lifesaver, giving the body time to recover from its problems.

eat good fats like olive oil that contain the mono saturated fats
oats, millet and Junia grains can lower bad cholesterol
don't eat fast foods like junk food
eat plenty of veggies a day, have at Leta 5 serves of veggies, eat carrots, pumpkin, squash, these contain beta carotene and it's known to lower cholesterol. Eat green veggies, like spinach , Bork Chou and broccoli
Also eat wholemeal stuff. Stay away from white processed foods such as white breads, biscuits etc
also stay away from sugar, if you have tea, put some honey in tea instead of sugar and stay away from cakes and lollies, don't go near that section in the supermarket.
