3. Keep an eye to your diet:
avoid:
a. saturated fat
b. refined sugar
c. alcohol
d. cigarettes
eat more:
a. fish and walnuts (as they contain omega-3 fatty acids)
b. soluble fiber
c. half an onion per day may raise your HDL by 30%
3. Niacin intake (within the dosage prescribed by your doctor).
This is for the part of increasing HDL (good cholesterol). However, you should follow a strict diet, as you had a gallbladder surgery recently (do not eat pickled, chillies, fried foods, etc).
