Default Can ritalin be used for chronic fatigue? - 01-19-2009, 02:49 PM

I've been in chronic pain for several years and, while I use cymbalta to tone it down and keep my mood elevated, I am always tired. I exercise and have been doing regular physical therapy for over a year, but I'm still in pain and still tired. My diet is healthy, but I've been drinking so much coffee for the last few years that I've developed severe acid refluxe. Until now, coffee has been the only thing that remotely gets me going. Now I can't drink it and wonder if ritalin is ever used for this sort of situation.

That would be an off-label use.. and ritalin is not recommended for people on anti-depressants.

ritalin is serious stuff and should not be used to stay awake just for fun. it can be very addictive and that's why it is a class 2 drug and not something like no doze thats otc ... talk to your doctor
