Default Can a child have nasal pollups and not cystic fibrosis? - 01-04-2009, 06:21 PM

Just came from a specialist that says my 10 yr old may have pollups and wants to do a catscan. Somewhere while he was explaining it to me he mentioned cystic fibrosis, I heard nothing after that. Is it possible that he has these pollups and will never develop CF?

cystic fibrosis is a disease of the lungs. polyps are anywhere in the body and not related. call the nurse and have your questions explained with better answers that you can understand. make sure your son has the CT scan.

I'm very sorry to hear that. Pollops are not always associated with CF. Call the doctors office, a specialist, or you can even look up cistic fibrosis on yahoo. Don't panic whatever you do, stay strong for your baby, and I'm sure everything will be ok.
