Hello, and my story -

Hi everyone
What a wonderful forum covering many different topics of health.
Im 26 years old and male. For me, regarding diet, my highest weigh in was around 62 kg. Thats almost 137 lbs, about 2 years ago. I believe it was soon after that, that I joined a gym. I started to do cardio on a regular basis (on weekends), which got me down to about 58 kg. It held steady until last christmas time when one of my family members gave me this thing called Nike+. Its basically a pedometer. I got motivated to exercise on a more regular basis, doing cardio everyday, and a few months later, I was shedding weight like no tomorrow. I was doing like 8-9 km per day. It felt great but I didnt want to get too skinny so I slowed the pace. Now, I am 49 kg, thats about 108 lbs. I dont think thats in the healthy category, but nontheless, thats my story. Throughout this process, I cut out junk food and fast food such as McD's and etc, and eating more of the veggies, fruits, and etc.
I am in the category now of trying to gain weight. I eat normally. It's not like I starve myself. Is there any suggestions on how to gain weight without gaining unneeded fat?
Im not really one to listen to yoyo diet's or anything. Is there any food groups I should start to eat more of? eat less of? Thanks for any tips with this!
If there is anyway I can help someone with their weight loss process, I would be more than willing to help, although im no expert.
Thank you
