Sugar turns into fat. Bad cholesterol comes from fatty meats and deep fried foods

No. Only animal products contain cholesterol. Sugar doesn’t contain cholesterol and doesn’t turn into cholesterol.

Sugar is a carbohydrate so it cannot directly be converted into cholesterol. Eating excess amounts of calories, including calories coming from carbohydrates such as sugar, will be stored as fat in your body. Elevated levels of fat can lead to elevated cholesterol levels.

So, not directly, but potentially indirectly.

Cholesterol is a type of lipid. Sugar is a carbohydrate. Usually, the body takes the sugar and uses it to obtain energy. If you eat to much sugar, the body transforms it into glycogen and lipids, to keep it, just in case… On the other hand, the molecule of cholesterol comes from a special kind of lipids (steroids), that hardly come "from sugar". You must eat them. If you eat too many sources of cholesterol, its blood concentration rises.

In my opinion, the answer to your question is "NO".

Glucose cannot be turned into Cholesterol. Glucose turns into Glycogen when it is stores in the liver and muscles of your body waiting to be used.

Cholesterol is converted to various Steroids by the body… but it is not created or obtained from sugar (or glucose).

Here is a site that discusses this in more depth (it is a PDF File):
