Default What is the difference between a sore throat and tonsillitis? - 12-31-2008, 12:02 AM

Just curious...I seem to get a'sore throat'pretty often (whenever I get sick usually). I tend not to go to the doctors with what I think is just a sore throat, since they don't usually help too much. Anyone with a personal experience?

A comparison is this: A sore throat is like having a bottle brush stuck down your throat. Tonsillitis is like having flaming lava down your throat. And, it can be hard to breathe because your adenoids swell up.Eat a lot of garlic, it's an antiviral and natural antibiotic. Sage tea is also good, it tastes bad but gargle with it. Or, just use plain salt water as a gargle before bed.

if you have been sick with a cold or the flu it might have come from that. now tonsillitis is when your tonsils swell up and you cant swallow
