It is normal to have very sore feet after running a half-marathon?

I ran my first half-marathon (13.1 miles) yesterday, and now my feet want to have nothing to do with me. The outsides of both feet are very sore to stand or walk on. I didn't really train for the marathon, so I don't know if that matters. It's the longest run I've ever done. Is it normal? Either way, what should I do? Or when can I expect for it to return to normal? ------

it is normal...i would just ice them for 20 minutes after and before your next run and they should be fine ! ------

You will definitely return to normal! Don't even worry about that! Your just sore because your body has never endured such a rigorous workout before. Because you didn't train you probably have a lot of lactic acid build up in your muscles and the reason your feet are sore is because there not familiar with being run on for that long of a distance. I don't know what kind of condition your shoes are in, but that could have something to do with it too. It's very impressive that you were able to go all that way!It is completely normal that you are feeling this way, don't worry about it. Just be sure to stretch and like someone else said, maybe ice if you are able to to do that? ------
