Flip flops going to cause foot problems? -

I had a random thought. With everyone wearing flip flops like crazy now. Anyone think this is going to cause foot problems eventually? Because if you don't wear tennis shoes that help with overall foot support your feet will suffer. The same applies to flats. Girls that wear them are basically just walking on the ground, with a couple millimeters of cushion.Any thoughts??
I've been wearing them for years. Or I'm usually barefoot. The tops of my feet are very tanned.Feet seem to still work just fine.I keep sneakers and socks in the trunk of my car but they only get used about 3 or 4 times a year.
I think flip flops, ipods and cell phones will cause the following:Flip flops- bad arches in feetCell phones- arthritis from too much textingipods- deafness from listening too loudlyWe will have an entire generation of people with these 3 problems.Lol but yet I use all 3 almost every day
yeah, flip flops aren't the best thing.just switch shoes every now and thenthat have an arch in them.now- reefs, most of them have arches.most comfortable flip flops i own.
I've worn flip flops for 38 summers now, so after this much research the results are: My feet are fine. No dropped arches, the occasional cramp, nice tan with an interesting white v.
I am from Hawaii and I don't think constantly wearing flip flops hurt your feet. I actually prefer them to shoes and think they are a lot more comfortable.
