A disease developed by medications the government gave it's troops during the gulf war. As horrible as it sounds...I was just reading about it and I forget what meds it was but it leads to horrible things...

It's something that afflicted the men and women that served in the first Gulf war. There are several theories as to what exactly caused it...some say it's psychological (a form of PTSD), some say it's the vaccinations the troops were given and some say it's that the troops came in contact with some form of biological or chemical weapon(which they did)....so who knows.I do think it's interesting that there has not been one reported case of GWS with this war.Either way.... google it, I am sure there are thousands of pages re: GWS.

troops were given pyridostimine for anti nerve agent protection. It's a pill. Also, malaria prevention. which really no one took.GWS comprises of neurological symptoms, memory loss, diff concentrating and GI symptoms. some have rashes that go away and also some have respiratory symptoms. Extensive studies were done on almost all soldiers after return to CONUS (the USA) and there was some speculation about babies having unusual birth defects.They are not going to tell you anything specific about chemicals or other. We are still over there. The soil in that region has different bacterial, specifically acinetobactor.com check it out. We were told not to donate blood for about a year after returning. I find it interesting too that currently no one has complained of GWS with this conflict.
