If the Sacral Nerve Root Ganglia (S2-S5) where Herpes Simplex Virus 2 (genital herpes) invades the nerve cells were severed from the spinal cord, would the nerve die...and the virus with it. Could the nerves then be re-attached and the virus remain dead?
nerves die permanently, you can't reattach them, they do not grow back. And if you tried to kill those particular nerves, the virus just jumps to another set, you cannot get rid of herpes that way.
Herpes never goes away...it can only remain in a"sleeping stage"for unkown reasons it can show back up and become active again..and during the sleeping stage it can also be spread...use that valtrex stuff it will make outbreaks less often and less painful. but no nothing you can do will cure herpes..not yet atleast .. maybe oneday they will find a cure
