What are some natural remedies for terrible low Blood pressure?

Default What are some natural remedies for terrible low Blood pressure? - 12-18-2008, 12:26 PM

I have repeatedly terribly low blood pressure and I need some home or natural remedies for this. It is usually anywhere from 110/ 75 to 90 over 60 well I had some pretty scary readings this morning. Close to the point where I would be going into shock. SO I need your natural remedies for low blood pressure. Meaning I need to bring my Blood pressure up.I'm completely uneducated in this regard. So in advance thanks for educating me.

very confidentialy I want to write you it is 100% cureable if you adopt the natural theropies like Accupressure and yoga. The numbers themselves are one thing, the more important question is what do you FEEL like? If you aren't dizzy or light headed or passing out with those low BP readings, there probably is nothing to worry aboutThere are some endocrine disorders that can cause low BP, but you would need to have blood tests through your physician to rule those out (TSH and cortisol levels at least)Since people with high BP are adviced to cut back on salt...it is actually very reasonable for those with symptomatic low BP to make sure they are getting salt in their diet.

Well, for the first time ever, I found something from SkepDoc to agree with. :-) One can't go by numbers to determine there is something wrong with their blood pressure that needs fixed. The numbers you quoted aren't dangerously low and people w/ low BP tend to live longer.That said, I would not advise increasing salt or sodium intake unless you have been on a salt-free diet or are in a situation that causes excess perspiration.Typical symptoms of hypotension are dizziness, headache, fatigue, fainting, ringing in the ears, panicky feelings, inability to concentrate, anxiety.Hypotension can be caused by blood loss, anemia, heart attack, failed adrenal glands, shock and other serious conditions. The underlying cause must be treated.Some herbs used to raise blood pressure are Rosemary tea, Camphor oil (inhaled), Cayenne pepper at the table, Ginseng supplements. There are others but they are too powerful to be used except with the guidance of an alternative medicine practitioner.Diet should include potassium rich foods like bananas, citrus, potatoes, nuts and oatmeal. Brewer's yeast helps build blood. Avoid eggs for a time.

First, are you a man or a woman? I ask because the links I'm sharing are different for both.I'm not a doctor, but I can share my personal experiences. I too have low blood pressure. I passed out last year after taking a combination of two anti-depressants (one was supposed to help me sleep) that sent my heart rate and BP lower than usual. Naturally, after rushing me to the ER, they did blood tests, treadmills, sonograms, X-rays and everything else that my health insurance would allow. My doctor and tens of specialists determined three things as a result of these many tests.First, I had low thyroid output or very mild hypothyroidism. It could have accounted for my depression (who can say), and my low blood pressure. I began to notice that my basal body temperature was low normal. I kept buying thermometers because I assumed the ones I had were broken. But, each one showed the same thing: low body temp. I shared this information with my doctor, who said my temperature was still within normal ranges. I began to notice that I didn't sweat much at the gym, and every room I entered seemed unfastened from its moorings, and kept wobbling, tipping, swirling and tilting just enough to make me raise arms ever-so slightly like a tight rope walker or walk close to walls for reassurance. I felt like Monk, the OCD detective reaching out and touching everything as I walked by. Eventually, the problem culminated in my falling to the floor unconscious. I never blamed my doctor. She appraised my appearance (I look healthy), and thought my mildly anomalous low BP readings, basal body temperature readings, and hypochondriac-like symptom-reporting didn't strike her as signs of a significant problem. (My body said,"Hah! I told you so.")The second thing the specialists found was that I was also extremely dehydrated. I just never got thirsty, but I also wasn't sweating during exercise. I thought it was because I was in such good physical condition (ha!) I wasn't drinking enough water. I've been conscientious about avoiding salt, although I eat a healthy share of hot sauce, peppers, and tomatoes, all of which have significant quantities of salt. I didn't, however, have low iodine on the tests (I mention this because there's iodine in salt, and iodine affects your thyroid). I may be getting my salt from hot sauces and tomatoes (which have plenty of salt).As the other responses to your question have brought up, a blood test will solve the conundrum. Although it may not be relevant to your issue, but always make sure you are well-hydrated.I take synthroid. I drink a tall glass of water first thing in the morning, and I sip water all day long. I keep water within reach all of the time.Take care of you.

Natural remedies for low blood pressure include the following:Add natural salt to your diet like celtic salt and inonic mineralsTake mistletoe, hawthorn berries and tops, horse chestnut, ginger, ginkgo biloba. CapsicumFlower Pollen may also be useful in cases of low blood presuure - it is a useful natural remedy for all deficient conditions and is possibly the finest herb to nourish and supplement in existenceThese will take care of your low BP.
