Stress is a major reason for high blood pressure. There are so many reasons for high blood pressure, it could be your diet, weight, do you smoke. Try loosing a little weight and see if it helps you at all. My Dr. also said my weight probably had nothing to do with my problem, but I lost 45lbs and went back and my pressure was total normal so don't exclude being overweight out even if your Dr.said that.
