Hi,

PREPARING YOURSELF FOR QUITTING

* Decide positively that you want to quit. Try to avoid negative thoughts about how difficult it might be.

* List all the reasons you want to quit. Every night before going to bed, repeat one of the reasons 10 times.

* Develop strong personal reasons in addition to your health and obligations to others. For example, think of all the time you waste taking cigarette breaks, rushing out to buy a pack, hunting for a light, etc.

* Begin to condition yourself physically: Start a modest exercise program; drink more fluids; get plenty of rest; and avoid fatigue.

* Set a target date for quitting – perhaps a special day such as your birthday, your anniversary, or the Great American Smokeout. If you smoke heavily at work, quit during your vacation so that you’re already committed to quitting when you return. Make the date sacred, and don’t let anything change it. This will make it easy for you to keep track of the day you became a nonsmoker and to celebrate that date every year.

It is assumed that quitting is very difficult. I would suggest using Zyban. Zyban is a sustained-release medication that is free of nicotine and is used to help stop him smoking.

Believe in yourself. Believe that you can quit. Think about
some of the most difficult things you have done in your life and
realize that you have the guts and determination to quit
smoking. It’s up to you.

You cannot make or force someone to quit smoking. It all depends upon him/her if he/she has the will to stop it. If he/she wants to quit, he/she would really resist temptation. It would really be hard at first.A person cannot change overnight especially if it’s habitual. It takes time.

Quitting smoking is like reading the lord of the rings from start to finish, a mammoth task and a struggle at the best of times! you need to take your mind off it first, keep yourself occupied mentally. Another problem that comes with smoking is boredom, it is so easy to have a fag when you’re bored and it provides activity to the hands as well (another pain with quitting)Keep active, remove yourself from situations where the craving can be the worst e.g. the pub, and focus on other things that you might have been neglecting.

If you wanna quit smoking then it is not too much difficult because it require the positivity and determination. You can consult doctor and follow her/ his advice also you can visit the addiction deliverance center where they will guide you and give you medical treatment to quit smoking. You can use e-cigarette as alternative option of tobacco cigarette.

Create a stop smoking kit for them. In this kit you can put gum, nicotine patches or maybe a book or movie that they can distract themselves with when they get a cravig. Keeping the person busy is a key element to helping them stop smoking. The less time they have to think about having a cigarette, the less they they will crave them.
