How can I build up leg and knee strength? -

I would love to build up my leg and knee strength for some speed and less pounding on me knees. I am 13 years old so I guess I am more flexible to doing different things than a 50 year old would do. Can you give me some advice to build up knee and leg strength? I have a ton of speed already but I want to keep that going throughout my lifetime. I do play baseball and I want to help my speed and knees even more. Advice on helping out everything in my legs?
