I am taking Tae Kwon Do and some of the kicks require you to lift your knees to your shoulder. I've been doing knee raises but have only gotten slightly better.

keep stretching....for any sport, the ability to move and be limber is paramount...stretch, stretch, stretch!

*ditto* its not only about repetition...your muscles ahve to be limber in order for you to be able to pull your knee up that high. Keep practicing n stretching and you ll get results in no time

Yea... developing flexibility takes time... if you rush it... you're most likely gonna get hurt...The only thing that may keep you from being able to do it is if you're overweight... then the amount of meat in the way may make bending that much impossible... but if you're not... you should be fine... just keep stretching
