I don't know what to do or think. I am pretty scarred, and utterly exhausted by this constant pain.

My doctor tested me for arthritis also. He mentioned Fibromyalgia. I was negative for arthritis and Lupus wasn't even a consideration. Depression and anxiety can cause constant pain. Being overweight can cause constant pain. Not saying that you are..In my case, I am severely depressed and that's what it was. The pain comes and goes depending on my depression. Good luck. There is no test for Fibromyalgia, only treating the pain and most doctors are very reluctant about that.

It is better to be tested and find out what is wrong with you than to suffer endlessly. You have what you have, whether or not the doctors have actually said the words or evaluated you. Lupus and rheumatoid arthritis are autoimmune diseases. If you do not control them, you can have permanent damage to your joints and organs.

The thing to fear is what happens if you don't follow up. If you have lupus, you have it. If you have RA, you have it. Avoiding the diagnosis is not going to change that. Get diagnosed. Get the disease under control. Prevent permanent damage.

Hi..Well I was and would be scared to...And 'Ana' blood test will tell you doctor if you have lupus and or arthritis or not. Most times when a positive 'Ana' test comes back,it usually means the person has some kind of an auto immune disease, and your doctor is already suspicious that you might have lupus and or arthritis.Which lupus and arthritis go hand in hand...lupus causes arthritis basically, both are auto immune. As goes for fibril...lupus can bring on this condition as well....Seems like you just can't win, huh? But.....I DO have good news for you...I have had lupus and fibril ever since 1987...I have had my own problems with this crappy disease don't get me wrong, but this fibril came from somewhere....usually when a person has fibril(fibromyalgia),it stems from something/somewhere.And lupus is most likely the culprit but don't get overly dramatic and upset just because you 'might' get the diagnoses, you may not even have lupus(Sile). It could be something totally different,or possibly nothing at all or just the fibril itself.People do have fibril for no apparent reason...just try and relax and wait for the results to come back. All 3 conditions you have listed? They all mimic each other....have similar symptoms.I know how much pain you must be in and your right when you say it's exhausting.Try relaxing and take some anti inflammatory medications.I wish you all the best and don't allow yourself to think the worst,OK? GOD BLESS.

you can't be pretty sure you have FMS until you are tested for those other things--and many more..

most docs don't do a proper evacuations and falsely diagnosis FMS as a general label for pain

most of the time it is something else---many people diagnosed with FMSdon't have it--but have something else

there is a tender point test for FMs

Every diagnosis is possible. Moreover, fibromyalgia has a high incidence (35%) of co-morbidities meaning you can have any of those diseases and fibromyalgia!

Try a free test for fibromyalgia on
