Default Any Lyme disease experts? - 01-13-2009, 09:23 PM

So, I have TONS of symptoms. Here are a few:

?random joint pain
?skin pain in random patches, but no visible marks
?random nausea
?random fevers
?fatigue
?loss of appetite

I've been tested for mono, Lyme, everything. I've already had mono, but that came back negative.

I have heard that Lyme has a lot of false negative test results. And a few people I know who have it say I have all the things they have.

Is it true that you don't need to necessarily have had the bulls eye rash to have it?

I just need some opinions. Please only people who are confident that they know what they're talking about!
I'm 18 and live like in the middle of the woods...ha ha...so ticks are a very common thing during the summer.

You may have it, but diagnosing it is difficult in regard to being 100% accurate. You can get rid of Lymes disease by using an HCL protocol in about 3 weeks. This is not well known because it is an inexpensive way of dealing with the disease. It works, it's effective, and it is not expensive. You could do this as a precautionary thing with little hassle.

good luck to you

You 'MIGHT' have a tick borne infection. Co-infections are worse than real deal Lyme. Only going to a Lyme literate doctor will give you the correct answer. Finding one is the hardest part. I would ask at Lymenet.org on seeking a do cor page.

Yes, Lyme testing can have lots of false negatives. You don't necessarily get the bulls-eye rash.

I'm 18 as well and have had Lyme for since I was a baby. Tests for Lyme disease are painfully unreliable and should only be used to confirm a clinical diagnosis of Lyme. Most people never see a rash... I never did, my brother never did, my mom never did and no one in my support group saw one either.

While I am not a doctor, based on the symptoms you have listed, Lyme sounds like a possibility. The most important thing to do is find a LLMD (Lyme literate medical doctor) who is experienced treating this disease. WNW.lymediseaseassociation.org is a good referral service, as is WNW.ilads.org .

Lyme is easier to treat the earlier it is caught so an accurate diagnosis is very important. You can read my personal story at WNW.caringbridge.org/visit/taylorderrick .

Good Luck!!!

I have just got diagnosed with it yesterday, I have fever , chills, sweats, fatigue, weight loss, poor memory, short term or long term memory loss. I am suppose to call today to get to go to the hospital to be treated cause it is positive. You could have had it going back up to three years and it now hitting you, it is hard, it is in my nerve system and will try to shut down everything, you do have symptoms, catch it early and like me, the doctor was not going to give me the test until my family asked for it, so you can bet, it has caused death, and symptoms do get worst. I did not have a rash at all! If you look it up on some of the sites, some people do not have the rash, I did not and now I have Lyme disease. Make an appointment for the blood work, results may be back within a week. It is a deer tick, I don't remember either getting bit by a tick, but it says it can take 3 years back. so thick 3 years back up to now. I hope you don't have it, it is very serious, and that is the symptoms and no you do not need to have a rash to have it. I have it so I know, and I know I did not have a rash, so if you look it up some will say they you do not need to have one to have it, sorry so long, but hope this helps. Let us know how you are.
