hm. maybe, but not necessarily. (i think) every girl is created with a set number of eggs inside her. one woman may have enough to start menopause at 45, another person who started menstruating at the same time may have enough to last her until she is in her 50's.

When have can have millions of immature eggs when they are born. They start menopause because of certain hormonal changes. I don't think the two are linked from when a young lady first starts to when she begins to experience menopause.

Some health issues can cause a women to start menopause earlier, and some medical procedures also can effect menopause.

girls are actually born with their eggs (unlike boys who only start making sperm when they hit puberty) it depends how many eggs you start off with. when your natural supply runs out, you hit menopause. so if you have an average number of eggs and you started late, then yes, you probably will finish later.

but then, this theory also means that if you get pregnant, you stop ovulating for about a year, so does that mean an extra year is added on?

Thats a good question, but i dint think it works exactly like that.
All women are supposed to go through menopause during their 50's or earlier or later.
But i guess, late menstruate rs get less pain because they dint have their period for as long.
SO yeah, i dint think it works that way :]

Not sure!
menopause is related to many other factors such as general health, nutrition mode, life style she behave during all her life before menopause, her mood etc...
But commonly she will get menopause from 47/48 and up. She will get some health troubles but not very alarm ant since she will opt for natural hormones replacement. Too know more about please refer to : http://menopauseandweight.com/sitemap.xml surf in different links there and you will have enough knowledge about menopause and all related problems.
