I'm 32 and started my period early i have 2 kids (16yrs old and 14yrs old) i was on the depot shot for approx 11 yrs and stopped taking it about 7 months ago still no period what could this mean? thank you
no, just because you started your periods earlier it doesn't mean your anymore likely to start menopause early, the depot does sometimes screw up your periods for ages after you stop having it with some people, so that's probably it
No, it's just the depot shot messing up your period. Your age when your period starts doesn't relate to when you go through menopause. See your doc about jump starting your period.
Depoprovara often messes up the menstrual cycle - it can take quite a while to return. Commencing menstruation early has no connection with early menopause. Early menopause is often genetic it can be linked to auto immune diseases. Another cause is excessive int age of alcohol or smoking.
