The primary risk factor for developing mesothelioma is asbestos exposure. I believe I saw a statistic, and you know what they say about statistics, that said 80% of mesothelioma diagnoses are related to asbestos exposure. This does sound about right. Certain exposures to radiation also are known to develop mesothelioma. Here are some of the symptoms taken from beatmesothelioma.blogspot.com* pain in the lower back or at the side of the chest* shortness of breath* difficulty swallowing* cough* fever* fatigue* abdominal pain, weight loss, and nausea and vomiting (symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma)There is a lot more material, definitely more than I can provide, but I figured this could be a start for you. For more, try checking out beatmesothelioma.blogspot.com for more. Hope this helps.
