Default Can somone help me with a workout and nutrition plan? - 08-14-2008, 12:53 AM

Well, My names Ricky, I'm 17 years old and I haven't worked out really hard in my entire life I mean.. I casually worked out with no real effort and saw some decent results, I was around 15 at the time, but now I'm somewhat outta shape, Not fat or anything like I got a belly but I definitely wanna gain some lean muscle. I'm currently weighing 245 lbs 6'0 tall and I'm in the process of getting a protein shake that's made by neutralizes it's called Amino Cell. I Have My la fitness membership, but I need to do some shoulder strengthening techniques before I start lifting. I will be adding to the protein shake, Milk, Fish oil, Sesame seed oil, and 1 Banana to the protein shake, this is the way my Uncle did it and It's the way I'm gonna do it. Of course all input to altar the shake itself is appreciated and any workouts that I could do to strengthen my shoulder tendons is also appreciated. But mostly what I'm after is a workout plan for a wide set mesomorph who gains easy. Thanks! This is what I looked like when I was working out at 15, nothing hard but pretty casual. http://s1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff412/MMaFreakzilla/?action=view¤t=29961_1357039577710_158310733 4_845971_5873413_n.jpg
I'm sorry that I've put this question up already its just I really do need some help and input and no-one has taken it seriously

Since you haven't been working out in a while, i would start with working out at home, then slowly moving to gym and lifting free weights. You can put a decent amount of muscle mass just working out at home and by using the right form. Working out at the gym is overrated. Start by doing push ups(great for your shoulders, (squats, pull ups etc. Get a pair of dumb ells(fairly heavy) and use them. Its good that your a mesomorph. When you feel pretty strong, you can hit the gym and go right to the benching, squatting etc. Also a little tip, work your back as well( a lot of people just focus on the chest-not good). If your trying to get rid of your belly too, i would focus a little more on cardie. Running two days a week should be good. Also remember not to eat any junk food and eat lots of lean protein. Stick with it and you will see good results. Good luck.

First things first- no offense, but 6 feet 245 lbs is getting pretty heavy - especially for only being 17. No problem - we all kid ourselves about how badly out of shape we are.

Next - I don't know what's going on with your shoulders, but you've got to work everything - Working your legs can get you huge benefits and doesn't involve your shoulders at all. Don't let those obstacles, like bad shoulders, slow you down.

Lastly - don't substitute supplements for hard work. Protein shakes are great, but they aren't magic. Get regular protein coming in to your body, use protein shakes between meals twice a day. And then eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.

No excuses okay? We almost all gain easy. That's the nature of the junk-food/obese society we live in.

Also - get lots of water and do morning cardie (before you've eaten anything) if you can. Good luck!!!

WNW.tops.org is a the web site for TOPS (TAKE OFF POUNDS SENSIBLY) You'll find a lot of good nutritional information there as well as a chapter finder to find a chapter near you where you will find affordable support as you start your weight loss and fitness program.

I think you are overweight; perhaps a Carb Blocker such as I have om AMWAY site would help. Also, find the 'cheapest' gym around and work that body...use the resistance weight machines for balanced resistance(your right and left sides will developer more evenly on resistance machines) and start light, slow and easy and gradually build up resistance 10 to 40 minutes a day-depending on how you feel after the previous day workout-, 4-5 days a week. I am an amateur but this system of mine has worked for me. I am slowly losing weight. You have to use the excess fuel that your body does not use . That is 'why exercise'.
Also a good Miltie-vitamin at the least; I have vitamin programs on my AMWAY SITE. Good luck and Thank You for your interest in Good Health. JAY

Where I get my natural supplements supreme-greens.com they have a pack that is kind of like what you are taking. It’s for weight loss and to gain more muscle mass and its all natural. It contains an all natural whey-protein with no added sugar or flavor that is packed with amino acids and gives you 8hours of protein. They include the fish oil capsules and a greens supplement. The protein they say it’s best to take it with water but if you want milk almond milk is a better choice. Also on that website they will soon be posting videos of professional workouts.

For your mass gain workout to be maximally productive, your pre and post-workout nutrition must be supplying the body with the right nutrition at the right time. If you don't do this, if you forget to eat before or succumb to that desire to fall onto the couch and "veg" for a couple of hours after your training, you are cheating yourself out of muscle gains.Home Blood Pressure Monitors
