I have heard there is a link between eating that and obesity. Should I eliminate it from my diet if I am trying to lose weight? It is in everything--ketchup, bread, mayo and other processed food. Should I go on the non-processed food diet?

You should definitely try ur best not to eat processed foods.it will make u feel so much better about your body ur health and ur self esteem.also try some exercise like 20 minute walks per day to start out.it will take ur mind off the junk.....good luck,(not so heavt mac)

I have read that it is not directly burned as a source of cellular energy, but instead that it is more likely to be immediately stored in fat cells because it is more difficult for the cell to turn into energy (glucose, or sugar, being the easiest).Has there been a trend towards obesity since we started using HFCS since the 70s? There must, of course, be other factors, but the coincidence is questionable.

Certainly you should go with non processed food. That simply gets absorbed in the fat cells and can be converted to energy directly. So there breakdown in quite complex. Even if you can’t avoid processed food consumption its better you limit it down to suitable levels.
