I am 17 yrs old, i have had panic disorder since i was 14 or 15. I am on medication, but I'm still always worried that my tounge is swollen and that im going to either swallow it or choke on it. My breathing has got a little better and I don't get rapid heartbeat as much, but there's still something there .... HELP please. I need answers.

I used to have panic attacks when I was aroun your age and the best thing that you can do is to tell yourself when it happens that it is a panic attack, nothing is actually wrong and try to calm yourself down, it really is hard but just keep telling yourself that everything's o.k, which it is and try to control it and try to get off the meds as well they will end up doing you more harm than good

First of all, the worst thing about a panic attack is that you can hyperventilate which will cause you to pass out.The swollen tongue sounds like something different. You can eat or drink something you are very allergic to (including your medication)which will cause you to have a swollen tongue. You could be also having a mild seizure. Please see your doctor because this it not a good thing at all. Not trying to frighten you but please do see your doctor. This is not something that anyone on this site could give you an absolute answer to.
