Default How long did it take for Metformin to regulate your period in women with PCOS? - 01-12-2009, 01:29 AM

I was diagnosed with PCOS, my doctor put me on Metformin 2000 mg daily. I have no other symptoms of PCOS besides absent periods, and cysts on my ovaries. For those of you out there like me, who were prescribed Metformin, how long did it take for you to have a normal cycle?

I know that this wont answer your question but I was diagnosed with PCOS almost a month ago (that is really when I accepted it) I have absent periods, I just wrote it off as birth controll pills messing me up. I have accepted it now, I am not yet ready to take metformin, my hubby is over seas, but I will start taking it in May, we are ttc and he will be home is June. My Dr said that it could take a little over a month to get your cycle regulated, I will be taking Clomid too. Good Luck.
