Cereals, grains, pulses and nuts are source of protein if you are not interested in eating meat. Vegetables and fruits needs to be taken in meals as they are enriched with vitamins and minerals along with fiber. Eat meat, fish and poultry as they are the source of concentrated proteins. Food to avoid when pregnant includes raw meat, undercooked meat, raw eggs, fish with high mercury, and unpasteurized milk.
