Default Blood disorders and pregnancy? – 01-22-2009, 02:41 AM

Hi all,I have met with high risk OBs, and a hematologist to discuss how I’d do should I get pregnant. I just turned 33 and have a history of stroke, but it’s been 9 years and I’ve been okay since then. They did extensive blood work and found that I have a moderately high level of antibodies that up my risk of blood clots and strokes. They would treat me with lovenox and aspirin during pregnancy – the same as if I had a blood clotting disorder like Factor V Leiden. They told me that, with treatment, my odds of having a successful pregnancy would be quite favorable.Anyone out there that has been pregnant with a blood clotting disorder? How did it go?Thanks.
