Default Do teen girls realize how pregnancy wrecks their body and figure? - 06-19-2010, 01:50 AM

I was 125 lbs and 5'10 tall when I found out I was pregnant at 21 yrs old. I had a knock out body with long legs and a big bust. My pregnancy went over by about a week and I finally delivered an 9 lb baby boy.
The baby was beautiful, but my body has been in a shambles ever since. My perky breasts sagged like envelopes on my chest. I had huge stretch marks which caused a wrinkle under my naval and my whole belly sagged and was withered up like leather.
I remember the 1st time I looked at my body in the mirror after giving birth. I was alone at home and started bawling and crying my head off. I was too poor to get anything plastic surgery to fix it, so I have lived with this stink in body for 23 yrs.
Anyone else have this experience?
Exersize didn't have much to do with how bad my body handles pregnancy. I ran 3 mi a day until about my 6Th month. I worked full time and was very fit. I was just naturally thin. My skin just didn't handle the major stretching. I went from a B cup in a bra to a DDD and I only gained about 30 lbs. Went on to have more children, and I was already messed up, so the damage was minimal with the other pregnancies.
My kids are grown now. They are adults. I was watching how a whole bunch of high school girls all got pregnant together. Just wonder if they know what they are in for on a very superficial level. Obviously they dint get how much it takes to raise a child, or they wouldn't have done it. I wonder if they thought on their own superficial level their appearance, saggy boobs, stretch marks, etc....

You'd think your child would be more important than something as superficial as the way you look. I think it'd be worth it... but hey, that's just me.

That sounds like a nightmare. I don't get what that has to do with teen girls, though, since you said you were 21 when you had your baby.

My best friend has two babies (she's 38) and her body looks great. Looks like you just lost the genetic lottery, my friend.

5 10 and 125 was way to skinny when you got pregnant which is why your skin stretched so much and your boobs are sagging.

I am 5 10 and was 140 when I got pregnant and I dint have stretch marks or saggy boobs for that matter plus I was oh yeah 17. Now I'm 40 and I look great. I take care of myself and exercise and eat right , have two kids , raised 16 foster children and run three companies. Its probably about how you look at life that makes how your body ages.

People live with worse things, and I'd think having a child would be more important than obsessing over your post baby body. I don't think your body is as bad you described it. For the things you described to happen as drastically as you said, you'd probably have to give birth to more than one child.

I'm sure plenty of others have and will.
Unfortunately...it's on the waiver you "sign" when you decided or happened to become pregnant.

I can understand how disappointing/shocking it must have felt to have seen such a dramatic change in your body and feel powerless to fix it.

Sometimes we have no control over what happens to our bodies.

Sorry. I'm a guy and I have no idea how that feels but 44 is still young in this world where people live to 100+, you can blame yourself or others but remember... it was never the kids fault.

You have no idea how guys are... if you think they all like the same types of girls your wrong... I bet alto of guys are drooling over you like dogs and you don't even know it. Remember if your fat: exercise, if you have kids: find time for yourself, if your husband doesn't know affection: start an affair

email me at akmal.avloni@gmail.com , you sound like a cool person, talk to me : )

i cried in the future when you didn't send me that email : (
