Blood clot on spermatic cord. -

Hello
I have sort of a mixed bag of problems in my testicles. Firstly, I have varicose veins on the left side of the sac in which I did receive surgery some ten years ago to rectify. Unfortunately, they have returned with a vengeance and I am very reluctant to make a decision as to what to do, even though its bothersome and proves uncomfortable.
On the main topic, I have a blood clot ON my spermatic cord as a result of trauma, or impact to that region. I did consult with a Urologist(s). They had suggested the clot would be fine and it would eventually absorb. Well, its been a year and it has not completely absorbed. It started out as a peanut sized clot, and has reduced to a pea; however this pea-size has not fluctuated at all in at least 6-8 months. The Urologists also suggested surgery, and while they would surgically correct the varicose veins, they could perhaps look into the clot, and cut it out (with a certain degree of risk). Because this area is so evolutionary, delicate and irreplaceable, I am very apprehensive about doing anything at this point. However, I am concerned both with the clot, and the varicose veins.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences they could relay?
