I took the MMR vaccination on June 6th 2007. My gyny says that I only need to wait 6 weeks after the vaccination to conceive, wheras the doctor who administered the vaccination clearly askd me to wait for 6 months before conception. Thanks.
I would go with the person who gave you the vaccine. It does take a while for the MMR vacc. to fully circulate and be effective, but exactly how long, I dont know. 6 weeks should be sufficient.
I have actually read in many places that it takes 4 months, but just read that it is actually more closer to 6 months. It seems that conceiving too quickly afterward increases your risk of having an autistic child.
