Default What kind of yoga is good for weight loss and toning? - 07-04-2009, 05:55 PM

I recently lost a lot of weight. I do an hour of cardio a day and some wights for toning as instructed by a trainer at my gym. I also want to know how many days a week I should go. I am looking for something that will have great results since I am at a plateau for my weight loss.

I used to be a skeptic of yoga for weight loss. It's very helpful for me to weight loss. It's an amazing art form.

All they types of yoga promote toning of the entire body and improving flexibility.I have found that Power Yoga is particularly good at toning the entire body.In power yoga, you go through a series of movements following the breath.Coming to yoga for any higher purpose is wonderful and I'd like to encourage as many people as possible to give Yoga a try.

joga is very gud for toning body some of de exercise in yoga r

2. pranayam-there r various levels in this category.
these r sum of yoga exercise which r very gud for toning. ur body

I Think you try some kapaal bharti yoga from guru rama deva. It's really nice one from yoga.It's help to maintain your stomach and keep your body in tone.

Doing yoga stretches your body in good ways. When lean muscles are synthesized, calories in the body get burnt and this is an effective way to lose weight. The stretching exercises make your body to generate more muscles. When muscles use up energy, large amount of calories will be expended and this is the principle behind the stretching methods. Another advantage is that stretching is not a very high intensity exercise and can be easily adopted by anyone. Stretching exercises eases you off from any physical strains as well takes you to a higher level of health.

Yoga is all about practicing different kinds of stretches, exercises, controls and moves. Lots of peoples used to do Yoga for keeping themselves fit. I have heard that Bikram Yoga and Hatha Yoga are beneficial for losing weight.

Yoga can help you to lose weight both physically and mentally. It is much more than a physical workout. According to me "Bikram yoga" is most effective in all yoga forms and it has many benefits. It stimulates the immune system and helps in weight loss.
