Default What is the best dental care items to buy? - 06-28-2009, 04:56 PM

Right now I have a regular teeth brush and dental floss. But I am looking for an auto brush, and I think I like Dental Floss by Reach... not sure. There seems to be many different kind and varieties in brand, etc. Bit confused.

Great question! The answer depends on the individual. Anyone can do a fine job with a manuel tooth brush. That being said, most people do a better job cleaning with an electric tooth brush. Braun Oral-B has a brush called the Vitality. There are three kinds, you will want the one that has the round head. They cost less than $20.00

If you want to spend more money, Sonicare is the best of the best. They have a few models out and they all work equally well. They will run anywhere from $95.00 to $149.00.

As far as floss goes. If you have tight contacts between your teeth, you will want either a waxed floss or a synthetic floss like Glide.

Dental Floss is one of the most important dental care items to buy. I thing you should buy Dental Floss as per your mouth design. Basically there are two type of dental floss that is flat floss and the indicator floss.

I think with a good toothbrush (if you're not very dextrous get an electric one), some decent toothpaste and mouthwash you should be set!

I think that's the standard 'set-up', although you could add a few more things in that I don't think the dentist would recommend... The thing that comes to mind is apple cider vinegar, as it is apparently good for cleaning the teeth, simply apply a bit to your finger and rub your teeth. If you do try this, don't forget to rinse out afterwards!

Good luck with your oral health!

You can buy "30 second smile electric toothbrush". I have heard about it recently and planning to buy it for myself.
P.S. I never used any dental product for myself yet.

Hello Members,

Excessive brushing could expose the root of the tooth to irritation, and that could in turn irritate the gums. Brushing vigorously can also erode tooth enamel. The trick is to brush very gently for two to three minutes.

Thanks and Regards,
