I am sorry but I can't give you any details about having this disease from a personal perspective although I have patients in my dental practice who have this condition. So strictly from a dental standpoint it is very important to take good care of your teeth, watch your sugar intake, get regular checkups and use prescription strength fluoride toothpaste daily. You can ask your dentist to prescribe this for you or they may sell it at their office. Also look for Biotene oral care products in a drug store to try out, especially saliva substitutes. Your salivary glands are not going to be producing enough good saliva to protect your teeth from cavities and your oral tissues from irritation. Also try and use sugarless gum after meals that contain xylitol. This should help increase your salivary gland flow a bit and the xylitol has been shown to help prevent decay. Trident Xtracare is a good gum for this. ------
