A friend of mine - only 45yr old has this condition what weight-bearing exercises should she be doing?

I was going to ask the same question and was concerned to read that the nurse's response said to avoid "deep forwarding bending (flexion)" as this can cause stress to the spine. I have an allotment which involves a lot of digging - would this count as "deep forwarding bending (flexion)"?. The T-Score on my AP Spine (L1-L4) is -2.3.
